FALLS CHURCH, Va. – June 18, 2014 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) was recognized Tuesday by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce as the "Outstanding Corporate Citizen of the Year" in the large business category. The award was presented at the Chamber's Annual Chairman's Luncheon, along with other corporate citizenship awards.
The Corporate Citizen award honors companies for outstanding contributions during the past year to employees and the community and for above-and-beyond corporate social responsibility efforts. Winners were chosen by an independent selection committee. Northrop Grumman was nominated for the award by the USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore and the American Red Cross of the National Capital Region.
