(Nasdaq:HILL), a trusted supplier of innovative enterprise class storage systems, today announced its industry first 2U 48 device, the AssuredSAN® Ultra48™ array, has won two awards of excellence and innovation: scooping the Disk-Based Product of the Year: Enterprise category at the annual Storage Awards in London, and also securing an IT Pro Innovation Award.
The Ultra48 launched in January 2014. Delivering twice the performance and twice the capacity per rack unit compared to traditional arrays, the array offers ultra-density and ultra-performance SAN storage in the industry's only 2U 48 device array. This, added to Dot Hill's proven reliability and easy serviceability, is just one of the reasons the product has been so well-received.
Affectionately known as 'The Storries' and now in its 11th year, The Storage Awards sees more than 50,000 professionals voting every year on the IT storage industry's finest companies, products and people. The 2014 event was held on June 12 at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London.
