Diamondback Energy Announces Pricing of Secondary Common Stock Offering


MIDLAND, Texas, June 24, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Diamondback Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq:FANG) ("Diamondback") announced today the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 2,000,000 shares of its common stock by certain selling stockholders at a price to the public of $90.04 per share, of which shares 1,000,000 will be sold by certain entities controlled by Wexford Capital LP and 1,000,000 will be sold by Gulfport Energy Corporation (Nasdaq:GPOR). The underwriter has an option to purchase up to an additional 300,000 shares of common stock from the selling stockholders. All of the net proceeds will go to the selling stockholders.

The offering is expected to close on June 27, 2014, subject to customary closing conditions.
