South Nassau Communities Hospital Implements Orbograph's Healthcare Payment Automation Center (HPAC)

Healthcare payments automation reduces paper, streamlines revenue cycle

BILLERICA, Mass., June 24, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Orbograph, a premier supplier of electronic/paper automation solutions in healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), as well as recognition solutions for the U.S. check processing market, announced today that the Company's Healthcare Payment Automation Center (HPAC) has been implemented at South Nassau Communities Hospital (SNCH).

SNCH is actively working toward electronification of its claim submissions and payment processing workflows. With an automated posting target of 95+%, significant efficiencies will be achieved within the billing department via HPAC capabilities including:

1. Data lifting and conversion of paper EOBs (explanation of benefits forms) into postable EDI 835 remittance files
2. Aggregation of all EDI 835 remittance data and EFT payment files from 50+ payers
3. EFT Reassociation with ERA (electronic remittance advices) files to automate reconciliation
4. HPAC Payment Portal for accurate tracking of healthcare receivables and streamlining denials management
5. Conversion of payer correspondences into postable EDI 835 files
6. Electronic content management and archival of payment and remittance files for immediate research requests

"The benefits we receive from HPAC to our revenue cycle management processes continues to grow everyday as our payment volumes have been converted onto the system," stated Abdool Razack, Senior Director of PFS at South Nassau Communities Hospital. "The vision to transform our billing department into a state-of-the-art operation helps us process claims and payments faster while providing improved services to our patients."

"We are pleased to support the objectives of SNCH," stated Barry Cohen, Co-President of Orbograph. "The working relationship has been excellent as we support their efforts toward healthcare payments transformation."
