2014 Army Veterans & Navy Veterans Football Teams Schedule Practice on the Battleship New Jersey

Second Annual Army Veterans vs. Navy Veterans Arena Football Game Presented by The Judge Group as Part of Philadelphia's Year of the Veteran


PHILADELPHIA, June 24, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On Friday, June 27, The 2014 Army Veterans & Navy Veterans football teams will hold a practice aboard the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial in preparation for their historic battle on Saturday.

The Friday practice will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be open to the public. The game, to be played Saturday, June 28 at the University of Penn's Class of 1923 Arena, will feature legendary former players from both Annapolis and West Point. The game comes one week prior to the Welcome America Festival, as part of The City of Philadelphia's Year of the Veteran. Last year, the Navy veterans won the inaugural clash in a thriller, and look to return home with the Commanders Cup again this year.
