DSV - DSV assumes full ownership of the DSV Swift group of companies in Africa

DSV has today signed an agreement to acquire the remaining 67% of the shares in the DSV Swift group of Companies.

This means that with effect from 1 July 2014 DSV assumes full ownership of the DSV Swift companies. The activities of the companies are focused on air and sea freight. The agreement is in line with the plan laid out in October 2012 when DSV bought the first 33% of the shares in the companies.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

"For the past nearly two years DSV has gained a lot of experience in the African transport market. So far we like what we see, and that is why we take this step to increase our focus and commitment in Africa even more”, says Jens Bjorn Andersen, DSV Group CEO.

DSV is present with own offices in 75 countries on 6 continents. Our network in Africa covers South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, D.R. Congo, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Morocco and Egypt.
