USHCC Congratulates Chris Durovich of Children's Medical on Receiving EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award


WASHINGTON, June 28, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) congratulates Chris Durovich, President & CEO of Children's Medical Center in Dallas, for winning the prestigious Ernst & Young (EY) Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Southwest Region. The program recognizes individuals who exhibit excellence and success in financial performance, innovation and personal commitment to their communities and businesses. An independent panel of judges interviewed 100 business executives from across various industries, and selected Mr. Durovich for his outstanding accomplishments and achievements in the health sector.

USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez, a national judge for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Competition, explained: "Each year, this competition looks for a breakout entrepreneur who demonstrates specific, measurable qualities including: scalability, net revenue, and leadership. Mr. Durovich scores high marks in each category, but what makes him truly stand out among his peers is his stewardship – he is providing absolutely critical service to his community in his role at Children's Medical Center in Dallas."

At Children's Medical Center, Durovich oversees all hospital operations and strategic initiatives, ranging from facilities expansion to physician and clinician leadership to recruiting. He also manages a $275 million facility plan that includes major expansion at the Dallas campus and the $106 million development of a pediatric hospital and medical office building in Plano, Children's Medical Center Legacy.
