JOHNSTOWN, Pa., July 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) has been recognized as a "Best for Vets" employer by Military Times. More companies than ever before completed the 2014 survey, with only 59 companies across the nation being chosen for the honor out of over 1,000 nominees. CTC ranked 11th on this year's list and has been named a "Best for Vets" Employer a total of four times. The complete Best for Vets: Employers 2014 list of winners is available on the Military Times Web site.

Military Times, which comprises Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times, focused on culture and policies that cater to military veterans when determining the rankings. Their methodology analyzed a company's efforts to connect with veterans and provide an environment for success.

"CTC is proud to have once again made Military Times Best for Vets list. We are honored to employ veterans and value their unique skills and experience," said Edward J. Sheehan, Jr., CTC President & Chief Executive Officer. Our policies and procedures to recruit and retain active duty and veteran military members benefit CTC, our employees, and our clients."

CTC's current workforce is comprised of 22% veterans, and an astounding 54% of 2013 new hires were veterans as well.
