SAN JOSE, Calif., July 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Whipsaw Inc., the Silicon Valley-based Industrial Design and Engineering firm that creates innovative products for companies around the globe, announces their win of 3 IDEA Awards and 6 finalists at the 2014 International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA), an initiative of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA).

The IDEA program, now in its 34th year, is regarded as one of the most preeminent design competitions in the world. A panel of 24 international design experts from design consultancies, corporations and universities judged nearly 2,000 entries this year, ultimately naming 176 total winners. The jury evaluated entries on aspects of industrial design excellence including overall innovation; benefits to the user and client; sustainability and visual appeal.

"It's a great honor to win these accolades and even more fulfilling to see how users respond to good design. A big thank you to our clients for boldly innovating and to IDEA for continuing to recognize excellence." said Dan Harden, President of Whipsaw. The winners are:
