Following on from Hansa Group AG's mandatory publication on July 7, 2014,
the Management Board has openly reviewed the restructuring options
available to the group of companies and today resolved to restructure the
company by means of insolvency proceedings under its own administration.

The Management Board of Hansa Group AG (ISIN DE0007608606, WKN 760860)
therefore filed a petition to commence insolvency proceedings under its own
management on the grounds of insolvency today with the responsible District
Court in Duisburg.

A petition for the commencement of insolvency proceedings under its own
management was also filed for group companies LUHNS GmbH, WASCHMITTELWERK
GENTHIN GmbH and Chemische Fabrik WIBARCO GmbH.

The Management Board of Hansa Group AG expects that the insolvency court
concerned will act very quickly to appoint a provisional administrator.
