Mitel to Showcase Industry's Broadest Portfolio of Solutions to Maximize Microsoft Lync Investments

Contact Center, Business Phones Optimized for Microsoft Technologies on Display in Mitel Booth (329) at Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference

OTTAWA, Ontario, July 10, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mitel® (Nasdaq:MITL) (TSX:MNW), a global leader in business communications, will demonstrate solutions that help customers leverage their Microsoft infrastructure and maximize Lync at Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) in Washington D.C. next week. This includes Lync-optimized phones, mobile solutions and Mitel's contact center platform natively built on Microsoft technology.

"Customers want solutions that work for, not against them. They want to bring Lync investments to business phones and extend that into the contact center. They want solutions that work with their infrastructure, not costly 'rip and replace' ultimatums," said Dave Johnson, Director of Technical Marketing at Mitel. "To deliver this, Mitel has brought together the industry's broadest portfolio of solutions that are designed to work seamlessly with and take full advantage of Microsoft technologies."

A new and broader Mitel portfolio will be on display at WPC this year. In the last 12 months Mitel has nearly doubled in size, strengthened its contact center offering and greatly expanded its portfolio, while emerging as the #1 market share leader in EMEA and climbing to #3 in North America.

Mitel's customer-driven approach translates into new opportunities for business partners, including more solutions that add value to Microsoft Lync and other Microsoft technologies. In addition to meeting with existing partners, Mitel is recruiting new partners interested in growing their business with Mitel and Microsoft. Mitel will show a number of solutions to Microsoft partners at WPC, including:

  • MiContact Center for Microsoft Lync, Mitel's comprehensive contact center platform that runs natively on Microsoft technology and was developed for Microsoft customers. Optimized for Microsoft Lync and Microsoft Dynamics, this solution ties seamlessly into the Microsoft enterprise voice platform.

  • Mitel 6720/6725ip phones, one of the first and still one of three Lync-Optimized phone portfolios available, brings Lync to business class handsets beyond a PC client. These phones include Embedded Lync Phone Edition 2013.

  • Mitel SIP-DECT sets with support for Lync to extend mobility. These sets use Lync presence and allow calls to simultaneously ring both Lync and DECT to ensure the call is answered.

  • Mitel InAttend Console adds more Lync functionality, including BluStar Server integration for presence and the ability to manage SIP calls from Lync.

Customers and partners interested in seeing demonstrations should visit Mitel at booth 329 or contact Mitel at (800) 267-6244.
