Hill International Announces Executive Promotions and New Hires

MARLTON, N.J., July 10, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hill International (NYSE:HIL), the global leader in managing construction risk, announced today the promotions and hiring of 14 executives to the position of Senior Vice President or Vice President throughout the company.

Christopher N. Metcalfe, of Hill's Teesside, England office, has been promoted to Senior Vice President with the company's Construction Claims Group. Metcalfe is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with construction industry experience spanning more than 25 years. He holds a B.Sc. in quantity surveying from Nottingham Trent University and an LL.B. from the University of London.

Samuel O. Atolaiye, P.E., CCM, PMP, of Hill's Washington, DC office, has joined the company's Project Management Group as Vice President.  Atolaiye has more than 30 years of experience in construction management and civil engineering. Prior to joining Hill, he was Chief of the Construction Management Division of the City of Baltimore's Department of Public Works, Water and Wastewater Bureau. Before that he was a construction manager for the Gilbane/Delon Hampton Joint Venture and a project manager for Heery International.   Atolaiye holds a B.Sc. in civil and environmental engineering from Kaduna Polytechnic and an M.S. in civil and environmental engineering from Norwich University. He is a registered professional engineer in Virginia, a Certified Construction Manager and a Project Management Professional.

James E. Auld, of Hill's Orlando, Florida office, has joined the company's Project Management Group as Vice President. Auld has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Prior to joining Hill, he was Director of Business Development for Burkhardt Construction and before that was Vice President of Business Development for The Morganti Group. Auld holds an A.A. in construction management from Palm Beach Community College and a B.S. in construction management from the University of North Florida.

Eugene P. Baxendale, P.E., LEED AP, of Hill's Broadview Heights, Ohio office, has joined the company's Project Management Group as Vice President. Baxendale has more than 37 years of experience in the engineering, construction, petroleum and automotive industries.  Prior to joining Hill, he was President of Business Improvement Catalysts. Baxendale earned his B.A. in industrial engineering from Cleveland State University and his M.B.A. from Baldwin Wallace University.  He is a registered professional engineer in Ohio as well as a LEED Accredited Professional.

JoAnn B. Coleman, P.E., of Hill's Washington, DC office, has joined the company's Construction Claims Group as Vice President.  With more than 30 years of experience in design, construction and dispute resolution, Coleman's assignments have included complex construction projects as well as national landmarks.  Prior to joining Hill, she was a Vice President with Construction Dispute Resolution & Support Services.  Coleman holds a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Delaware. She is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Suzie S. Gragg, of Hill's Houston, Texas office, has joined the firm as Vice President with the company's Construction Claims Group. Gragg has more than 27 years of project management, project controls, estimating and conceptual engineering experience in upstream (onshore and offshore) drilling and facilities, petrochemical, LNG facilities, natural gas transmission pipelines, power generation, and telecommunication industries. Prior to joining Hill, she was a Risk and Management of Change Coordinator for Maersk Oil.  Gragg holds a B.S. in architectural engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

David Hecht, of Hill's New York City office, has joined the company's Project Management Group as Vice President.  Hecht has more than 25 years of business development and marketing experience in the engineering and construction industry.  Prior to joining Hill, he was a Vice President with HAKS Engineers. Hecht holds a B.S. in journalism from the University of Florida.

Gregory C. Heinz, P.E., of Hill's Seattle, Washington office, has joined the firm as Vice President with the company's Project Management Group.  Heinz has more than 18 years of engineering and construction management experience. Prior to joining Hill, he was a Consultant for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Before that, he worked as Vice President and Pacific Northwest Operations Manager for AECOM Technology Corp. and as a Project Manager for Parsons Brinckerhoff.  Heinz holds a B.S. in civil engineering from Arizona State University and an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University.  He is a registered professional engineer in Arizona and North Carolina.

Katerina Kitsili, of Hill's Athens, Greece office, has joined the company's Legal Department as Vice President and International Corporate Counsel. Kitsili has more than 20 years of experience in international corporate and commercial law. Prior to joining Hill, she was Senior Partner with the international law firm of Sagias & Partners. Kitsili earned her LL.B. from the University of Athens and her LL.M. in international business law from the London School of Economics. She is admitted to practice law in Greece.

John H. McTyre, of Hill's Washington, DC office, has joined the firm as Vice President with the company's Construction Claims Group. McTyre has almost 35 years of experience in the construction industry, approximately 25 years of which were focused on construction dispute resolution. Prior to joining Hill, he was President of Construction Dispute Resolution & Support Services. McTyre earned his B.S. in civil engineering and his B.A. in Spanish literature from Swarthmore College and his M.S. in civil engineering from Stanford University.

Steven K. Riggs, of Hill's Irvine, California office, has joined the firm as Vice President with the company's Project Management Group. Riggs has more than 30 years of experience in the design, construction and real estate development sectors.  Prior to joining Hill, he was Managing Partner of Business Development Partners, LLC and before that was Executive Director with Bayley Construction. Riggs holds a B.A. in design and urban studies from the University of Washington.

Mark A. Stout, of Hill's Bethel Park, Pennsylvania office, has joined the company's Project Management Group as Vice President. He has more than 27 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, operations and financial management in the construction industry.  Prior to joining Hill, he was a Vice President with Genesee & Wyoming. Stout holds a B.A. in chemistry from Washington and Jefferson College and an M.S.E. in systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jeffery Whitfield, FRICS, MCIArb, of Hill's Houston, Texas office, has been promoted to Vice President with the company's Construction Claims Group. He has more than 25 years of experience in management of disputes and forensic quantum analysis.  Whitfield earned his LL.B. from Ealing Law School of the University of West London. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the Academy of Experts.

Zouheir T. Saleh, P.E., QSD, QSP, of Hill's Ontario, California office, has been promoted to Vice President with the company's Project Management Group.  Saleh has more than 32 years of project and construction management experience, including more than 30 years with the California Department of Transportation.  Saleh holds a B.S. in civil engineering from Trine University. He is a registered professional engineer in California, a Qualified Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Developer and a Qualified SWPPP Practitioner.
