TELESTE HAS CLOSED AN AGREEMENT WITH FRENCH SIEA TO SUPPLY OPTICAL EQUIPMENT WORTH 1.8 MILLION EUROS
Teleste, the leading provider of video and broadband technologies and associated services, has won a public tendering for optical access network transmission equipment. The tender has been processed by French public authority SIEA (Syndicat Intercommunal d'énergie et de e-communication de l'Ain). SIEA is responsible of energy and telecommunications distribution covering 419 communities in the province of Ain in Eastern France.
With this deal, SIEA is continuing its investments on Fibre to the Home solution, built using RFoG (Radio Frequency over Glass) technology. The system is one of the largest RFoG deployments in Europe.
The system will be delivered to the customer during third and fourth quarter of 2014. The deliveries are a continuation from 2013 when SIEA selected Teleste as the supplier for phase one for their network investments.
