A "Selfie" to Support Breast Cancer Awareness

This could be the most important selfie of your life! CDPHP is launching the Healthy Selfie campaign to create awareness about prevention and treatment of breast cancer.

ALBANY, N.Y., July 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CDPHP is helping women stay on top of their health with a breast cancer awareness campaign called the Healthy Selfie. Instead of taking your picture, we're encouraging women to do a monthly self-exam to detect the early signs of breast cancer.

On the 15th of each month, CDPHP will share the Healthy Selfie badge on our Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter page, and we're asking women to do the same.

Why should women share the Healthy Selfie badge?

  • Second to skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer diagnosed in women.
  • 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime.
  • The 5-year survival rate for early stage breast cancer (cancer confined to the breast) is 99%.

Help us increase the awareness and lower the risk. Share the Healthy Selfie badge on the 15th of every month as a reminder about the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.

For more information and to share the Healthy Selfie badge, visit the CDPHP Facebook page.
