IRVINE, Calif., July 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In the effort to assist pregnant homeless women, the Orange County Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (OC-ALA) will host "Community Connection Golf Event" on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Oak Creek Golf Course, at 1 Golf Club Drive in Irvine, Calif. Event flyer: https://ocala.memberize.net/clubportal/clubdocs/809/OCALA%20Golf%20Flyer%202014.JPG

The golf event, dinner, and silent auction benefits Casa Teresa, an Orange County non-profit providing a transformational, comprehensive program for over 5,500 women who are homeless and pregnant, as part of the OC-ALA Community Connection program, an annual community service initiative that encourages the legal community to work together for local causes.

It is anticipated that over 100 OC-ALA chapter members and business partners will participate in the day's events.

OC-ALA Board President Theresa Lawrence was inspired to support Casa Teresa because of a personal connection Lawrence feels towards serving the vulnerable in our community. Says Lawrence, "It is a principle of our organization to always lend a helping hand, and Casa Teresa shares that vision. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of many young women and their children."

Says event chair Wendy Rice Isaacs, former Association of Legal Administrators National President of the second annual golf event, "This is such a beautiful day to come together to help those who need it most."

The "Community Connection Golf Event" schedule of events will include a 3:30 p.m. Par 3, 9-hole Shotgun Start in scramble format, Cocktails and Silent Auction at 6 p.m., with Dinner and Ceremony at 7 p.m.

Costs are $90 for golf only, $50 for dinner only or $125 for golf & dinner. The event is open to the public. All proceeds will benefit Casa Teresa.
