FORT WORTH, Texas, July 22, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Allied Electronics, a trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), announced today that it has expanded its portfolio by more than 16,000 new products from eight of its leading suppliers – now available through the Allied website – as part of a global initiative.
"Expanding our offering by combining the product portfolios of both Allied and our UK-based sister company, RS Components, into one worldwide line is part of our 'Globalize the Offer' initiative," said Frank Cantwell, Vice President of Product Management for Allied. "When complete, more than 75% of our stock will be visible around the world. We kicked off this initiative in 2013, when we expanded the product line of TE Connectivity, and the response has been fantastic."
The eight suppliers that have been expanded include:
