In conjunction with partners HPSRx and Novel Laboratories, WCG will market Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg Emergency Contraceptive (EC) tablet, containing the same active ingredient as Plan B One-Step®, to private medical practices across the US. The Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg EC tablet, manufactured in the US, is available over-the-counter without a prescription. It is anticipated that Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg EC tablet will provide a significant cost advantage to users.

About Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg Emergency Contraceptive (EC) Tablet

Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg is intended to prevent pregnancy after known or suspected contraceptive failure or unprotected intercourse. Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg should be taken as soon as possible within 72 hours (3 days) of unprotected sex. Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg is not effective if you are already pregnant and will not terminate an existing pregnancy. Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg does not protect against HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Side effects may include changes in your period, nausea, lower abdominal pain, fatigue, headache and dizziness. If your period is more than a week late, you may be pregnant.
