A new video is posted each week, and offers customers a chance to learn more about the growing company and its employees.
Sarah Barron, VP of Marketing for the company, says the idea for the videos came about during a brainstorming session for brand-building initiatives for 2014.
"We're an e-commerce company, but unlike most, we also have a team of Sales Specialists that are available for customers to call if they have a question or would like to place an order over the phone rather than order online," said Barron. "We've built relationships with many of our customers through these phone conversations, so creating employee bio videos is a great way for our customers to put a face with a name."
Barron says the US Cargo Control blog has been an excellent way to connect with customers by offering information regarding products, and extending it to showcase the company and its employees has received positive responses.
"We wanted the videos to be a true representation of the employee- to showcase each employee's individual experiences with customers, their personal feelings about the company, as well as some fun facts."
The team member bio videos are also housed on the US Cargo Control YouTube channel and shared on the company's social media channels. Additional videos about the company, its growing manufacturing division, and award-winning culture are also planned for 2014.
