ABLV Bank, AS, redeems coupon bond issue


Riga, Latvia, 2014-07-31 08:04 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On 30th of July, 2014, ABLV Bank, AS, redeemed straight coupon bonds ABLV FRN USD 300714 (ISIN: LV0000800969) issued in 2012. The bonds were redeemed at 100% of the face value.

Bond issue ABLV FRN USD 300714 was performed on 30th of July, 2012. The issue size was equal to USD 50 million at face value of the bonds. The bonds were issued for the period of 2 years and were included in the NASDAQ OMX Riga stock exchange list of debt securities.

On 30th of July, 2014, the coupon payments to holders of ABLV FRN USD 300714 bonds were made according to the parameters stated below:
• Coupon period: 30.01.2014 – 29.07.2014.
• Date of coupon payment: 30.07.2014. 
• Coupon rate: 1.50% p.a.

Coupon payments under the bonds were made to customers' cash accounts. At the moment of the coupon payment, income tax was withheld by the bank in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Law on Personal Income Tax and the Law on Enterprise Income Tax.

As we informed earlier, we initiated gradual replacement of long-term deposits with bonds at the end of 2011. Currently, 18 bond issues are included in the NASDAQ OMX Riga list of debt securities. The investors own ABLV Bank bonds worth more than EUR 460 million in total.
