Clickstop's Charitable Program Earns over $25,000 Through Contributions from New Profit Sharing Program

Community-based "Clickstop Cares" program designed to help those in need.

URBANA, Iowa, July 31, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - When Clickstop's new profit sharing program was created earlier this year, it was designed so the company's charitable program, Clickstop Cares, would also benefit. Each profitable month funnels money to the program, which can gain up to $50,000 annually. Previously, the community-giving program was funded exclusively by employee donations that were matched by the company. Now halfway through 2014, more than $25,000 has been added to the Clickstop Cares fund.

"We feel so lucky to have been included in the profit sharing program," commented Sarah Watson, Cares Coordinator and member of Clickstop's Business Development team. "I'm still blown away by the generosity of this company. In two short months we've almost tripled our funding from last year – and $50,000 isn't out of our reach."

Funds from Clickstop Cares are used to help employees and members of the surrounding communities through difficult times. Clickstop employees are encouraged to keep an eye out for those in need and send their anonymous request to Clickstop Cares' leaders. Nearly half the funds raised last year went to assisting employees experiencing hardships (whether financial, medical, natural disaster, etc.). The remaining money assisted families and individuals in the surrounding communities. Requests recently funded include helping an area woman going through cancer treatment, assisting area teenagers in need with supplies for college, and clean-up and food/water delivery to those affected by recent storms.

Employees who lead the program also host special events and fundraisers at the company. Clickstop Cares organizes bi-annual blood drives on the company campus and promotes social and community well being by encouraging employees to get involved in philanthropy. Each employee is allowed up to 12 hours of volunteer paid time off – available as part of the company's benefits package – on Clickstop Cares projects.

"We're excited to be able to make a huge impact for a lot of local families," said Ashley Rambo, leader of Clickstop Cares. "It's been a break-through year for us, and I'm overwhelmed with excitement at how many more people we are going to be able to help."
