Concurrent Technologies Corporation Awarded a Second ARDEC RPTI Contract

$300 Million Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, Multiple Award Contract

JOHNSTOWN, P.A., Aug. 6, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) has once again been named an awardee on an Army Armament, Research, Development, and Engineering Center (ARDEC) Rapid Prototyping and Technology Initiative (RPTI) Program contract. CTC is one of seven companies selected to be prime contractors on the competitively bid $300 million five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract. CTC was also named a prime in 2009 when the RPTI Program was established at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey to enable rapid response to the Warfighters' need for armament-related products and services.

"CTC has supported the ARDEC mission at Picatinny by providing advanced engineering and manufacturing services since 1991," said Edward J. Sheehan, Jr., CTC President & Chief Executive Officer. "To be chosen for this second consecutive ARDEC contract award will only strengthen our longstanding relationship with this vital resource. Our personal investment with this partner will allow us to continue our efforts to provide reliable, responsive, and cost-effective support to meet the Warfighters' immediate field requirements."

This award enables CTC to compete with the other prime awardees on Task Orders (TO) for the design, fabrication and testing of rapid technology solutions/products. The work will fall under these broad categories: materials/processes, component fabrication/equipment, product assembly, systems engineering and integration, testing support and capabilities, and engineering services. CTC will leverage its experience with the original RPTI Program and other expertise developed during its more than 25 years of operation.

"In addition to advanced engineering and manufacturing, CTC's capabilities in several other markets such as environment & sustainability, and power and energy can also be applied," said Michael J. Docherty, CTC Senior Director. "All of the results that we deliver will have a major impact since Picatinny is the single manager for conventional ammunition for all of the Department of Defense. We are honored by the opportunity to contribute to this important organization."
