Naxos of America Launches Three Labels for Distribution

FRANKLIN, TN--(Marketwired - Aug 7, 2014) - The Naxos of America family of distributed labels continues to grow with the addition of JCW Recordings, Musica Omnia and Ludi Musici.

The guitarist John Williams founded JCW Recordings in 2008 as he wanted to remain in complete control of recording, editing, mixing, producing and design of his recordings. Williams takes particular care over the selection and sequence of tracks, including the gaps between them, and the full range of the guitar's many colors. He records at Air Lyndhurst Studios in London.

The award-winning CD label, Musica Omnia (http://www.musicaomnia.org), is devoted to highest-quality authentic performances of music from every period, from the Middle Ages to the present. Its mission is to showcase the works of great composers of all periods through the finest performers, the best audio engineering and the most attractive visual presentation possible. Musica Omnia has won the New York Times Critic's Award (2002), Musicweb's Record of the Year (2006 & 2009), and was a nominee in the 55th GRAMMY® Awards (2012).

Ludi Musici was founded in 2006 and specializes mainly in classical music while exploring repertoire that bridges the gap between classical music and world music. The philosophy of the label is simple: it aims to bring to the attention of the public unusual and varied repertoire from the fields of early music and world music, performed by outstanding artists, accompanied by scholarly and engaging articles, elegant packaging, a substantial and illustrated booklet, all presented in a book/CD format that makes each release an eminently collectable objet d'art that will give its owner hours of pleasure -- something to be listened to over and over again, to be read and re-read.

In addition to being an award-winning classical label, Naxos of America is the #1 independent classical music distributor in the U.S. and Canada. Specializing in state-of-the-art distribution, marketing and promotion, Naxos of America distributes nearly 50,000 titles on CD and DVD to traditional brick and mortar retail, as well as offering a comprehensive suite of services tailored to consumer direct fulfillment. Naxos of America is also the largest digital distributor of independent classical music, supplying a catalog of over 50,000 albums to hundreds of digital download and mobile outlets worldwide.
