DENVER, Aug. 11, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Air Methods Corporation (Nasdaq:AIRM), the global leader in air medical transportation, today announced that David Richardson has been appointed as senior vice president of eastern air medical services. Richardson will succeed Ed Rupert who is retiring after serving the health care industry for more than 40 years.
Prior to joining Air Methods, Richardson worked at the Denver-based DaVita Healthcare Partners, Inc. as division vice president of operations, overseeing kidney care operations in the Midwest, including 1,200 employees, 95 chronic dialysis facilities, 10 home programs, and 25 hospital contracts.
