Alfa Laval wins SEK 95 million natural gas order in the U.S.

Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid
handling – has won an order to supply air cooler systems to a U.S. export
terminal for natural gas liquids. The order, booked in the Energy & Process
segment, has a value of approximately SEK 95 million and delivery is scheduled
for 2015.
The Alfa Laval air cooler systems will be used to cool the main process streams
at the export terminal where refrigerated natural gas liquids (ethane, propane
and butane) are loaded onto tanker vessels.

“This large order relates to products from Niagara Blower Company, an
acquisition we made last year. The order confirms our position as a strong and
reliable supplier to the oil and gas industry,” says Lars Renström, President
and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group.

Did you know that… many shale gas formations also contain so called natural gas
liquids (NGL), such as ethane, propane and butane, which can be separated from
the natural gas and used, for example as feed stock for petrochemical plants,
for house hold heating or as fuel for vehicles?
