(BESOR), a Macau-based bank, to provide BESOR merchants with the ability to accept UnionPay (CUP) cards.
To cater to the ever-growing number of visitors from Mainland China and to foster banking relationship with its partners, BESOR partnered with Planet Payment to enable their merchants to accept UnionPay branded cards in Macau. According to Macau's Statistic and Census Service, visitors from Mainland China increased by 10 percent in 2013.1 UnionPay is one of the largest card brands in the world, with over 3.5 billion cards issued worldwide.2 Planet Payment will be providing the processing support for UnionPay's credit and debit cards at the point-of-sale.
