EVN AG: Initial application of latest IFRS consolidation standards

EVN AG will apply the new consolidation standards IFRS 10-12 for the first
time in preparing the quarterly financial statements as of 30 June 2014
(Q. 1-3 2013/14), which will be released on 28 August 2014. These standards
require mandatory application in the EU for financial years beginning on or
after 1 January 2014.
Therefore, EVN Energievertrieb GmbH & Co KG and the EnergieAllianz Austria
Group will be included in the Q. 1-3 2013/14 consolidated financial
statements at equity. STEAG-EVN Walsum10 Kraftwerksgesellschaft mbH, which
was previously included at equity, will be included in EVN's consolidated
financial statements at 49.0%. There will be no changes in the presentation
of fully consolidated companies.
In connection with the initial application of the new consolidation
standards, the proportional results of the operating companies attributable
to the EVN Group's core business will be presented as "the share of results
from equity accounted investees with operational nature" under the results
of operating activities (EBIT).
For explanatory purposes, the following section presents a reconciliation
of the previously announced key indicators from the balance and income
statement for the 2012/13 financial year ending on 30 September 2013 in
million euros.
* Non-current assets from 6,125.1 to 6,404.0 (change: +278.9)
* Current assets from 977.0 to 896.2 (change: -80.8)
* Equity from 3,066.5 to 3,089.4 (change: +22.9)
* Liabilities from 4,035.6 to 4,210.8 (change: +175.2)
* Balance sheet total from 7,102.1 to 7,300.2 (change: +198.1)
* Revenue from 2,755.0 to 2,113.9 (change: -641.1)
* Share of results from equity accounted investees with an operational
nature from 0.0 to 95.0 (change: +95.0)
* Results of operating activities (EBIT) from 218.5 to 250.6(change: +32.1)
* Financial results from -38.1 to -71.4 (change: -33.3)
* Group profit for the period from 114.7 to 115.7 (change: +1.0)
