Veolia Transportation Awarded Extension in Napa Valley, CA


NAPA, Calif., Aug. 13, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Napa County Transportation and Planning Agency awarded a two-year extension to its existing contract with Veolia Transportation on July 16, 2014. Veolia Transportation has proudly operated the VINE Transit system since 1991 and provides fixed route services for 10 local and 3 regional routes that connect passengers within Napa County as well as to San Francisco's BART transit system.

Veolia Transportation provides operations and maintenance services for Napa County utilizing 69 vehicles and 106 employees for fixed route bus, paratransit and on demand community services.
 
The company is committed to helping make the VINE Transit system more accessible to riders and participates in numerous community events where staff explain how to ride the service and answer questions.  Additionally, Veolia is a proud supporter of Napa County's Shared Vehicle Program.  This program serves people in the ADA community by providing participating non-profits with daily vehicle maintenance and driver training services to successfully run their programs.
