School Specialty's dynamic booth provided tons of fun for kids in attendance, including tries at a money-grab machine, where students could go inside to capture School Specialty bonus dollars which they later cashed in to collect school supplies. A towering school supply cake served as the centerpiece of a successful 'selfie' campaign, where mom bloggers and kids were tasked to take a selfie with the cake for a chance to win it. Every child that visited the School Specialty booth was gifted a School Specialty lunch bag filled with back-to-school essentials, and given the opportunity to make a School Specialty lunch bag for a child in need via the evening's charity partner, The Children's Aid Society (www.childrensaidsociety.org), a New York-based non-profit that provides underprivileged kids a chance to succeed and thrive in targeted high-needs New York City neighborhoods.
