QLogic Builds on Leadership Position in Fibre Channel Adapter Market With Share Gains in First Half of 2014

Latest Market Share Reports From Dell'Oro Group and Crehan Research Show QLogic Gained Revenue Share Over 2013


ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Aug. 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- QLogic Corp. (Nasdaq:QLGC), the industry leader in Fibre Channel adapters, today announced that the company gained revenue share in the Fibre Channel adapter market in the first half of calendar year 2014, as confirmed by recent market share reports from the Dell'Oro Group1 and Crehan Research2. On a combined basis, inclusive of QLogic and the acquired Brocade adapter product lines for all periods, QLogic gained an absolute 1.4 points of market share from calendar year 2013, extending its double digit market share lead over its nearest competitor by an additional 2.6 share points. QLogic currently holds a total revenue share of 58.0 percent according to Dell'Oro Group and 57.1 percent share according to Crehan Research and is on pace to achieve its 11th consecutive year of Fibre Channel adapter market share leadership.
