Prudential Bancorp, Inc. Announces Declaration of Quarterly Cash Dividend

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 20, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Prudential Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company") (Nasdaq:PBIP) announced that its Board of Directors, at a meeting held today, declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.03 per share on the common stock of the Company, payable on September 19, 2014 to the shareholders of record at the close of business on September 5, 2014.

"The quarterly cash dividend policy was adopted by the Board as part of its commitment to implement a capital management strategy that enhances shareholder value while ensuring the Company maintains a strong capital position." Mr. Vento went on to say, "as we approach the first anniversary of the completion of our second-step conversion in October 2013, the Board intends to promptly consider adoption of a share repurchase program as part of the Company's capital management strategy. As we have indicated previously, we are committed to building long-term shareholder value and effective management of our capital. Implementing a share repurchase program will be one of the strategies under careful review by the Board."
