Navient participates in veterans job fair in Middletown


NEWARK, Del., Aug. 25, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Navient joined other local employers today to participate in a veterans job fair at the Middletown Memorial Fire Hall, helping to support local veterans to secure employment.

About 100 veterans attended the job fair, sponsored by U.S. Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.), U.S. Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) and Rep. John Carney (D-Del).

Navient displayed a list of jobs currently available, including customer service, collections, reporting and analytics, plus other corporate roles. In Delaware, the company seeks to fill more than 120 positions by the end of the year.

In addition, representatives from veteran support agencies provided services and resources to help veterans excel in the job market, including résumé writing and job interview tips.
