RALEIGH, N.C., Aug. 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that David F. Paulson, a Partner and Chair of the firm's North Carolina Business & Corporate Law Team, has been named North Carolina Regional Managing Partner.
In his new role, Mr. Paulson will be focused on developing the strategic focus for the firm's business and presence in North Carolina, and overseeing operations in the firm's Raleigh, Research Triangle Park and Wilmington offices. Previously, Mr. Paulson has served as the North Carolina Regional Business Development Head.

Mr. Paulson has more than 23 years of experience in corporate law and complex business transactions, including extensive experience in the health care industry and with health care business transactions. His practice concentrates on helping his clients grow through domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, corporate finance, strategic alliances, multi-party joint ventures and intricate business transactions.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of the Greater Triangle and on the board of advisors to the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Paulson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Duke University in 1987, his masters of business administration from Wake Forest University and his juris doctor degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law, both in 1991.
