Fullbridge Hires Notable 'Career Accelerator' to Expand Business Immersion Programs for Silicon Valley Tech Industry

Becky Fisher to Oversee Fullbridge's West Coast Operations

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Sep 2, 2014) - Fullbridge, Inc., the global leader in delivering the real world experience students need to successfully transition from the classroom to great jobs, announced today that Becky Fisher founder of the Silicon Valley based career-accelerator Beyond Business, has joined the company as Managing Director, Fullbridge West Coast. Working closely with partners at such tech companies as Airbnb, Prezi, Google and eBay, Fisher will develop expanded programs for new and existing Fullbridge clients through strategic partnerships that provide students access and opportunities with leading innovative employers.

"Becky's commitment to education and driving change through innovative business immersion programs, coupled with her strong Silicon Valley employer affiliations, made her a natural fit to oversee our expansion on the West Coast," noted Candice Carpenter Olson, Fullbridge Co-CEO and Founder. "We are very fortunate to add Becky to our team as we identify new opportunities to connect students to highly sought-after employers they would not otherwise be meeting and learning from."

The Fullbridge Program has educated over 3,000 students worldwide with its programs in the US, Shanghai and Riyadh. A recent survey of former Fullbridge students found that 90% of Fullbridge alumni were employed and successful in their first jobs coming out of the program.

Olson added, "Innovative companies have raved that Fullbridge graduates not only have a leg-up as contributors to high growth companies, but are 100% prepared to go into the real world. Becky's shared vision and established relationships will build on these strengths and continue the Fullbridge momentum in Silicon Valley."

Dedicated to helping students land their dream job and to connecting high-tech employers with standout candidates, Fisher was an innovator in providing students with the practical skills integral to success, whether with a startup or large corporation. By building their network with professional contacts and mentors from leading Bay Area companies, Fisher sought to jumpstart students' careers through interviews with -- and access to -- leading tech organizations.

"Fullbridge is the clear leader in the new career acceleration space, highly regarded for the quality, rigor and relevance of their programs and their topflight partnerships. I'm looking forward to furthering its mission with real-world skills training for the tech industry," explained Fisher. "There is employer excitement with the high caliber and uniqueness of the Fullbridge Program and it will be personally rewarding to develop additional opportunities for employers and students on the West Coast."

Previously, Fisher was a classroom teacher and consultant for education companies including EdSurge, Edutopia, Kidaptive, Drawp and Launchpad Toys. A prolific writer, blogger and educator, Fisher regularly provides commentary about innovation in educational technology, including contributions for the Huffington Post, Digital Media Diet, Te@chThought and Teachers with Apps. She received her M.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and B.A. from Northwestern University.
