Vector Marketing manager named to prestigious non-profit board

LONDON, Ontario, Sept. 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Sherri Dickie, Canadian Campus Recruiting Manager for Vector Marketing Canada/Cutco Cutlery, has been named to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE).

Vector Marketing is the single-level direct sales company which is the primary distributor of Cutco Cutlery, produced by Cutco Cutlery Corporation, the largest manufacturer of high-end kitchen cutlery in North America. Vector Marketing sales representatives typically begin selling Cutco while in university or college. Some choose to enter Vector's comprehensive management training program and move up the ranks as managers after graduation, while others use the experience to benefit them in their chosen career.

The Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (http://www.cacee.com) is a national non-profit partnership of employer recruiters and career services professionals. The mission of the organization is to provide authoritative information, advice, professional development opportunities and other services to employers, career services professionals and students.

"Sherri's appointment to the CACEE board is well-deserved and recognizes her contributions to the organization and to the student sales representatives who sell Cutco products," said Helen Brown, Academic Outreach Manager for Vector Marketing. "She is a knowledgeable professional who brings passion to her position and dedication to CACEE and other organizations that she serves."

Dickie started with Vector Marketing Canada in April 1996 as a University of Guelph student. During her time in sales, she served on the Field Sales Manager Advisory Board and was awarded the Carmen Buehner Memorial Award, recognizing those who are leaders not only in Vector but who also give back to their communities. As one of Vector Canada's sales leaders, Dickie is also a Vector Court of Honour member.

In 2005, she was promoted to Division Recruiting Assistant and the following year she took on the challenge of developing and leading Vector Marketing Canada's first call centre. In her various leadership roles, Dickie has trained hundreds of student sales representatives and managers.
In July of 2007, she accepted her current role with Vector Marketing Canada's executive team, as the National Campus Recruiting Manager. She focuses on advertising, creating recruiting best practices, and the training and development of their leadership team. As a member of CACEE, she is passionate about building recruiting partnerships with Canadian campuses, as well as duplicating the Selling Smiles 101 ® program, an experiential service learning project at the Haskayne School of Business in Calgary, at other institutions.

In 2012 she pursued her passion in speaking and coaching by completing the John C. Maxwell Certification Program.
