Clare Controls CLIQ.express Controller Sets New Home Automation Entry Point

Addition to CLIQ controller family extends firm's leadership in mainstream automation

SARASOTA, Fla., Sept. 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Clare Controls today reasserted its position as leading provider of full-featured automation solutions to the mainstream market with the announcement of its entry-level CLIQ.express host controller. The CLIQ.express is the latest addition to Clare's CLIQ family of automation controllers, which leverage the efficiency of cloud-based system management to open profitable opportunities to partners delivering affordable, high-volume luxury automation.

The CLIQ.express is one cornerstone of the Clare Controls Builder Program, wherein builders partner with installers to deploy Clare automation in volume, as a standard amenity in mainstream homes. While tailored to each builder's unique market, participants include the host controller in each home, and let buyers select pre-engineered lifestyle application packages to add safety and security, convenience and comfort, and entertainment to their homes. The Builder Program was created to provide a profitable, no-headaches response to growing consumer demand for full-featured automation in mainstream homes.

"The CLIQ.express controller is an extraordinary value and a valuable addition to our Home Builder Program," explained Brian Dietsch, VP of Business Development at Clare, "but it is only one part of what it takes to succeed in this market. We are providing our partners a well-developed business model that addresses every aspect of the homebuilding/home buying process from a knowledge-based perspective, starting with sales and marketing assistance and a detailed customer-onboarding process, all the way through to after-occupancy homeowner support."

With feature capabilities and application support identical to the rest of the CLIQ family, the $400 MSRP CLIQ.express is scaled to create Clare's most affordable host to date. Expansion software and a CLIQ.connect I/O module (integrated in seconds via the company's no-configuration ClareBus) extend the CLIQ.express to the CLIQ.host's full capability. This allows installers to realize recurring revenue by providing affordable upgrade paths to customers who start small.

The announcement follows the July release of Clare's CLIQ.lite module, which supports scaled versions of all of Clare's most popular lifestyle applications, including lighting, security integration, climate, and IP CCTV, as well as the multi-room audio and integrated video entertainment capabilities that distinguish Clare's automation solutions from less capable offerings.
