The Bilbao court of first instance in Spain has accepted the claim of 20 million euros brought against Outokumpu and two other companies, regarding the divested copper business in Spain, where one of the divested companies later faced a bankruptcy. The claim relates to recovery of payments made by the bankrupt Spanish company in connection with the divestment.

Outokumpu intends to appeal the court’s decision.

Outokumpu sold all of its copper business between 2003 and 2008.
