MobiCart Taps TechCrunch Disrupt to Launch Next Generation M-Commerce Platform

MobiCart 2.0 Enhances the User Experience With New Campaign Management Tools, Additional Payment Gateways and Modern User Interface Options

SINGAPORE--(Marketwired - Sep 9, 2014) - M-commerce pioneer MobiCart today announced the launch of its next-generation mobile commerce platform, MobiCart 2.0, at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco. The m-commerce solution enables anyone to quickly deploy a native storefront application on iOS and Android devices as well as HTML5. The new version offers improved mobile commerce capabilities, including access to innovative campaign management tools, expanded payment gateways, new templates, improved support for the latest mobile devices and an application beta test site.

"We see significant demand for mobile-first commerce solutions, and MobiCart 2.0 brings new functionalities to our enterprise customer base that will improve how they are able to do business," said Mei Holt, MobiCart business development lead. "The enhanced capabilities, previously only found in the marketing campaigns of high-end installations such as malls and large retailers, will now be accessible to small-and-midsized enterprises and meet regionally-specific mobile commerce needs."

The 2.0 version of the customized application development platform offers new marketing campaign management tools, which enable users to see analytics from campaigns in real-time, deliver location-based alerts directly to user handsets, and strategically target customers in a company's existing marketing database to receive offers such as coupons. The system also tracks such offers by managing coupon or discount codes and only allows their use within the pre-defined limits of an offer.

In addition to PayPal and Zooz, MobiCart 2.0 supports new payment gateways including iPay88, Stripe and 2C2P. The expansion of payment systems provides MobiCart's global customer base with payment options now optimized for the U.S., Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Indonesia. Version 2.0 also offers support for e-commerce systems different than those in the U.S. by providing users with regionally-based shipping options, including paying cash upon delivery for orders placed online.

MobiCart 2.0 provides modern, improved user interface options on all mobile platforms for a wide range of retail categories, including clothing and fashion, food and beverage, art and culture, electronics, medical, sports and outdoors, animals and pets, business and services, travel, and cars and motorcycles. From new image and color options to customizing the orientation of images, the new template designs offer a turnkey solution to customizing storefronts in the best way for a certain market. Additionally, version 2.0 supports new phone formats, including high-resolution screens and the latest versions of Android and iOS operating systems. MobiCart 2.0 will also be compatible with the new iPhone 6 when it becomes available.

For customers seeking to test an application before it goes live, MobiCart 2.0 also includes access to an app beta site that is exclusive to each user. Typically, approval from the Apple App Store or Google Play store can take up to two weeks. The app beta site allows for the instant release of the application to be tested and fixed before official submission to an app store takes place.

MobiCart 2.0 is available immediately at www.mobi-cart.com. New template views will be available for use October 1.
