Personagraph Nominated for the Prestigious Edison Award for Most Innovative Start-up by the Telecom Council

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 9, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Telecom Council of Silicon Valley has nominated Personagraph, a provider of private mobile analytics and user understanding, for its Edison Award for most innovative startup in Silicon Valley. The Telecom Council of Silicon Valley represents a group of over 500 global telecom providers whose charter is to connect Silicon Valley companies with the global telecom community. Each year, the group recognizes Silicon Valley companies as part of its SPIFFY awards program.

Funded by Intertrust Technologies Corporation, Personagraph seeks to bridge the advertising technology industry's need for accurate user profiles and consumers' need for privacy. The current mobile advertising value chain is crowded with personal information trolls who provide advertisers with accurate user profiles, but with little regard for privacy. Personagraph is a trusted third party that protects user information while allowing precise targeting.

"We are grateful to the Telecom Council for recognizing Personagraph's potential to allow mobile providers to participate in the vast opportunities around mobile advertising," said Irfan Mohammed, Co-founder and President, Personagraph. "Mobile operators are themselves a trusted brand and will be held accountable by their subscribers because they handle private usage information. Personagraph's platform provides a way to grow targeted advertising opportunities exponentially, while fully protecting subscribers' private information."

"Personagraph is a great example of the kind of innovative company with unique solutions, which our members have interest in. They approach a big need from a fresh angle, providing a unique value proposition to our telecommunications community," said Liz Kerton, President of the Telecom Council. "At the SPIFFYs, we honor the best of the best, so we are proud to add Personagraph to the list of successful mobile user understanding platform startups who have leveraged the Council to meet potential partners."

The SPIFFY award winners will be announced in a public ceremony at TC3: Telecom Council Carrier Connections Executive Summit, on October 1, 2014 at the Computer History Museum, Mountain View, CA.
