Vacon Plc (ID 1519966-5) ("Vacon") has on 12 September 2014 received a
notification of major shareholdings pursuant to Chapter 9, Section 5 of the
Finnish Securities Markets Act.

3. Chain of controlled undertakings:

AC Invest Three B.V. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ahlström Capital Oy.

11 September 2014

5. Reason for the notification:

   AC Invest Three B.V. has under a share purchase agreement dated 11 September
2014 undertaken to sell a total of 3,229,688 shares in Vacon corresponding to
approximately 10.56 per cent of all the shares in Vacon. The share purchase
agreement includes two share tranches. The sale of the first share tranche is
executed on 12 September 2014 and contains 3,053,400 shares. The sale of the
second share tranche contains 176,288 shares which corresponds to approximately
0.58 per cent of all the shares in Vacon and is conditional upon the receipt of
an approval of the Finnish Ministry of Employment and Economy as required under
the Finnish Act on Monitoring Acquisitions (172/2012). Said sale is settled
within five (5) business days from the date of receipt of said approval.

   As a result of the above, the ownership of AC Invest Three B.V. has decreased
below the threshold of 5 per cent of Vacon's shares.

   The notification of major shareholdings does not contain any additional
information.

   Vacon Plc has a total of 30,590,000 shares. The company has only one class of
shares and each share entitles to one vote.
