Atlanta Chiropractor Brings Stress Relief Massage to Local Companies

ATLANTA, Sept. 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Chiropractor Dr. Jared Simon, DC of Century Center Chiropractic recently announced that he and his staff are offering Stress Relief Days for companies interested in reducing stress levels in the workplace. During a Stress Relief Day, Dr. Simon and his staff run a stress-relief workshop that teaches employees and employers tips and strategies for lowering their stress levels. Dr. Simon and his team will also provide 10 minute massage sessions for any interested participants. Those interested in a Stress Relief Day should call Century Center Chiropractic.

According to Dr. Jared Simon, stress is a huge health and economic problem across America. "Everybody is stressed out, everywhere you go, and it's literally making people sick. It worsens blood pressure, weakens the immune system, and can lead to distractions and the inability to focus. When people are too stressed out, their health suffers, their personal relationships suffer and therefore, their productivity at work suffers. It's crucial for employers to understand this and do what they can to help reduce stress levels for themselves and their employees."

Dr. Simon, who has been providing chiropractic care in Atlanta since 1992, notes two very telling statistics from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA): American businesses lose over $300 billion each year due to stress-related problems, and about 90% of doctor visits made by workers are either directly related to, or worsened by stress. He says this includes everything from heart disease, headaches, migraines, and gastrointestinal problems to diabetes, depression, emotional eating, and substance abuse.

Dr. Simon says he and his team are actively trying to reduce those staggering statistics, at least in the Atlanta area. During a Stress Relief Day, employers and employees can learn techniques for lowering stress on the job and in life. He explains that they talk about how nutrition, exercise, deep breathing exercises and other techniques can lower stress levels and improve health.

According to Dr. Simon, the most popular part of Stress Relief Day is always the 10-minute massage therapy session that anyone can try. He says that massage is an incredibly effective way to reduce stress, both physically and mentally. He explains that massage has been shown to improve circulation, release pain-killing endorphins into the body, and even give a boost to the immune system.

He adds, "Massage is always a big draw, and everybody comes away from Stress Relief Days better equipped to keep their stress levels down." To schedule a Stress Relief Day, local businesses are urged to call Century Center Chiropractic.

Dr. Jared Simon is the chiropractor for the Atlanta Screen Actors Guild and provides chiropractic care, massage therapy, and several types of physiotherapy and therapeutic exercise.
