KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City announced the appointment of Rodney Centers to Vice President & General Manager and Gary Stella to Assistant General Manager.
Centers joined Pinnacle Entertainment in 2011 as the Vice President & General Manager at Boomtown Casino Hotel Bossier City, Louisiana. "Since joining the company, Rod has demonstrated an ability to effectively lead by developing strategic initiatives that enhance performance, and by creating a great environment for team members," said Neil Walkoff, Executive Vice President of Casino Operations, Pinnacle Entertainment.

Prior to joining Pinnacle Entertainment, Centers held various leadership roles in the gaming industry in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Louisiana. He is also a Six Sigma Black Belt, and for 20 years, held upper management and executive leadership positions in the manufacturing industry. Centers earned a B.S. in organizational management from California Coast University.
New Assistant General Manager Gary Stella joined Pinnacle Entertainment in 2001 as the Vice President of Casino Operations at L'Auberge Lake Charles, Louisiana. Stella brings more than 20 years of gaming experience to his new role. During his career, he served in various management capacities within the gaming industry.
