UK COMPETITION AUTHORITY FINALISES ORDER IN EUROTUNNEL/SEAFRANCE CASE

Following consultations, the UK Competition & Markets Authority (CMA) has earlier today published its final Order covering the remedies as set out in the decision in the remittal on the Eurotunnel/SeaFrance merger inquiry published on 27 June 2014.

The CMA’s remedies entails that MyFerryLink be prohibited from operating ferry activities at the port of Dover.

The remedies will not come into force until after judgment in the ongoing appeal is given. The next event in the appeal is a hearing scheduled for 24 and 25 November 2014.
