MacAulay-Brown, Inc. Named to $3 Billion Multiple Award IDIQ Contract by the DoD IACs to Provide Defense Systems Research and Analysis Services

DAYTON, Ohio, Sept. 22, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services and product solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Special Operations Forces, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that it has been awarded a  five-year, multiple award Indefinite-delivery/Indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract by the Department of Defense Information Analysis Centers (DoD IACs), which is administered by the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC). The IDIQ contract has a total ceiling of $3 billion.

Under the terms of the DoD IACs' Defense Systems Technical Area Tasks (DS TAT) IDIQ, MacB will deliver defense systems-related research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) and advisory and assistance services (A&AS). Specific focus areas include: advanced materials, autonomous systems, directed energy, energetics, military sensing and reliability, maintainability, quality, interoperability, survivability and vulnerability.

This marks the third RDT&E and A&AS contract MacB has been awarded by the DoD IACs. In May, the company announced that it had been named to the $900 million Homeland Defense and Security Technical Area Tasks (HD TAT) IDIQ. In 2010, MacB was awarded to the Software, Networks, Information, Modeling and Simulation (SNIM) contract. The contracts combined cover all technical focus areas supported by the DoD IACs enterprise. MacB is one of only four companies to win prime contractor positions on all three contract vehicles.

"The DoD IACs enterprise is at the forefront of providing the military with RDT&E-related service to increase essential warfighting capabilities," said Tim Lawrence, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MacB's Advanced Technology Group. "With the addition of DS TATs to the HD TATs and SNIM contracts, we are able to fully support the DoD IACs across the critical areas of defense systems, homeland defense and cyber."

The ordering period on the DS TATs IDIQ is for one year, with four one-year option periods. Work is expected to be completed by June 2019. MacB is one of 12 prime contractors named to the contract.
