Category Five Becomes First Merchant to Launch With LevelUp Quick Checkout
BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - September 24, 2014) - Popular e-commerce platform WooCommerce has partnered with LevelUp to lower payment processing costs for merchants and take the friction out of online shopping.
WooCommerce merchants can now accept LevelUp payments, taking advantage of a flat 1.95% processing rate and the ability to run a full suite of revenue-driving marketing campaigns.
Paying with LevelUp is also fast, secure and convenient for customers. To pay with LevelUp, customers simply enter their LevelUp email address and receive a push notification asking for confirmation right to their mobile device. Once they confirm, their LevelUp account is connected to the merchant and they are ready to checkout. Just like with a credit card, the customer's LevelUp account can be saved by the merchant to allow for even speedier checkout next time.
Unlike a credit card, customer's have the ability to remotely de-authenticate each merchant's access to their account, meaning customers can shop safely on the internet.
Customers also have the option to do a "Quick Checkout" with LevelUp to save time. This removes an average of 200 keystrokes from a customer's checkout experience. By logging in with LevelUp, customer's avoid the need to register for a new account, type in their shipping address and enter their credit card number. Faster checkout for customers and fewer abandoned carts.
"We couldn't be more excited to partner with LevelUp and to get this product out to WooCommerce merchants. We are confident LevelUp will provide our users with more ways to save costs and increase revenue. It's all part of the WooCommerce mission to make e-commerce simple, powerful and profitable for our merchants," said Joel Bronkowski, Head of Business Development WooCommerce.
Category Five is one of the first merchants to adopt LevelUp for their online store and leverage the power of quick checkout.
"Reducing the amount of info a customer submits at checkout is key to help us increase conversion," says Jeffrey Shuman, COO at Category Five. "We know that customers love the Category Five product and LevelUp is helping us get it in their hands, and onto their feet, even sooner."
For a limited time, customers can save $15 when they make their first purchase at http://www.cat5boatshoes.com/ and pay with LevelUp.
"WooCommerce has a passion for creating beautiful, easy to use shopping experiences for both merchants and consumers. It's great to partner with their talented team," says LevelUp's Head of Developer Relations, Nick Herbold.
WooCommerce will offer LevelUp as a free add-on during a three month launch promotion, after which time purchasing the integration will cost $79.

About Category Five
Finding roots between Cape Cod and Miami, Category Five was envisioned by a group of 5 best friends in 2010. After years of wearing boat shoes, they recognized the need for a more comfortable and durable option. Determined to maintain the classic design, the group first identified all the problems that they had with traditional boat shoes including the brutal break-in period and short life span. Representing three generations in the shoe industry, Category Five then tapped into their resources and worked tirelessly to put a modern touch on a traditional piece of footwear.
