On 25th of August 2014 Tallinna Kaubamaja AS made a stock exchange release announcing that the subsidiaries of Tallinna Kaubamaja AS will apply for refunds of advertisement tax paid from June 2011 to July 2014 in Tallinn, Tartu and Pärnu. According to the abovementioned stock exchange release Tallinna Kaubamaja AS announced that it has already filed appeals to the administrative courts regarding claims for refunds in Tallinn and Tartu and that in case the claim for refund in Pärnu will be denied by the decision of the Financial Management Service of the Pärnu City Government, the respective notice of assessment is also planned to be challenged at the Pärnu Courthouse of the Tallinn Administrative Court.
On 29th of August 2014 Financial Management Service of the Pärnu City Government delivered notice of assessment by which the refund claim of Selver AS was denied. Today Selver AS shall challenge respective assessment at the Pärnu Courthouse of the Tallinn Administrative Court.
Tallinna Kaubamaja AS will keep the stock exchange informed of relevant court rulings and decision related to the refund claims of advertisement tax in accordance with the procedure laid down in the rules and regulation of the stock exchange.
