Insight EMEA Expands Its Product Portfolio Around Cloud and Services

Trusted IT Supplier & Advisor Creates Services Business units and Appoints Rolf Adam as VP of Services

LONDON, Sept. 30, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Insight, one of the world's leading technology suppliers, has strengthened its position as the trusted IT advisor of choice for businesses.

Following recent recognition from Microsoft as its Cloud Partner of the Year at Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference, Insight is tightening its grip as the leading independent consultant offering trusted IT advice on cloud and associated IT services.

In EMEA Insight has created new Services business units, appointing Rolf Adam as VP of Services to help deliver solutions that drive real business impact for CXOs. Adam brings over 17 years of experience in the consulting and IT industry, having spent the past five years at Cisco building and leading its industry sales teams across multiple verticals in EMEA. Prior to this he spent 12 years driving business consultancy at A.T. Kearney and Booz Allen Hamilton, a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The creation of a new Partner Service Alliance Programme, as part of the new Services Unit, will further solidify Insight's position as the go-to partner of choice for those businesses seeking to streamline their requirements and run IT more effectively. In EMEA Insight will build alliances with 'country' best-in-class service providers as well as Pan-EMEA partners such as Colt, a leading Hosting & Service Provider with 'In country' Datacentre Cloud & Services offerings.

"Partnering with Insight on expanding its offerings around Cloud and Services to allow businesses to run their IT more cost-efficiently and focus on delivering business impact through new IT Innovation will be of mutual benefit and best serve our joint clients," say Celine Bremaud, Vice President of Microsoft Corporate and Partner Group in EMEA and Ben Savage, Vice President of Colt Managed IT Services, EMEA.

"Many decision makers today, particularly those in the corporate client segment, are seeking partners who can provide strategic advice on future IT investments as well as delivering and managing this. This is why we're establishing a new Services business unit, having attracted a senior leader with sound expertise in services and establishing strategic alliances with vendors and partners across EMEA," adds Wolfgang Ebermann, EMEA President at Insight.
