QIWI Kiosks Will be Placed in the "Magnit" Retail Chain

MOSCOW, Oct. 1, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- QIWI plc, (Nasdaq:QIWI) (MOEX:QIWI) ("QIWI" or the "Company") and JSC Tander (subsidiary of OJSC "Magnit") today announced a partnership under which approximately 1,700 convenience store locations will be equipped with QIWI kiosks.

"The cooperation with the largest instant payment provider in Russia solves simultaneously several problems for us. We are offering our clients a convenient payment service with high and unified quality standards and a wide array of options – approximately 75 thousand merchants accept payments through QIWI. Moreover, a single contract covering every store allows us to minimize risks, ensure continuous functioning of the machines and save our employees' time. Furthermore, people in Russia are well familiar with QIWI and I hope that introduction of the payment service that they are accustomed to in our shops will be a pleasant surprise for many of our customers." – said Anton Kakovkin, Head of Magnit's Commercial Real Estate department.

Magnit customers will now be able to make their regular and compulsory payments through QIWI kiosks while shopping in convenience stores. They will be able to avoid spending additional time and visiting merchant offices to remit money and repay loans, or to make utility and tax payments, mobile and internet top ups and many other different types of payments.

"Our main goal is to provide everyone with convenient high-quality payment services in close proximity to one's home or work. Paying remotely through QIWI for a wide range of goods and services allows our customers to save their time and focus on their business and leisure activities instead" – comments Elena Davydova, Head of Agent Network Development Department at QIWI Group.
