COSTA MESA, Calif., Oct. 1, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the employees and management of Morgan Drexen Integrated Systems (http://morgandrexen.com) have announced their support of breast cancer awareness by scheduling events and activities throughout the month of October designed to raise breast cancer awareness among the company's 200 employees.
To kick off the month-long show of support, Morgan Drexen employees will walk in "Team MD" in the Making Strides Against Cancer Annual Walk on October 5th in Orange County, where Morgan Drexen Integrated Systems' headquarters is located.
"So many of our employees have relatives or friends who have battled this terrible cancer," said Morgan Drexen CEO Walter Ledda. "So, to me, it's personal and it's important that everyone understands that battling breast cancer begins with breast cancer awareness and education."
In addition to forming "Team MD" to walk in the Making Strides walk, employees plan several other events in October to raise money to help those battling breast cancer, including a "Wear Pink" casual Friday on October 17th.
"Our 'Wear Pink' casual Friday will be a fun way to raise money to donate to the American Cancer Society," said COO Executive Assistant Christine Kim, who is spearheading the month of corporate activities. "All 200 of our employees will have the opportunity to make a donation of $5 or more allowing them to dress casual as long as they wear pink to work. The goal is to raise money and awareness."
