Talvivaara to publish its January - September 2014 interim report on 26 November
                                      2014

      English language conference call on recent events on 6 October 2014

Talvivaara  Mining Company Plc ("Talvivaara" or the "Company") will announce its
January  -  September  2014 interim  results  on  Wednesday  26 November 2014 at
approximately  7:00 am  UK  /  9:00 am  Finland.  The  date  of  announcement is
postponed from the earlier given date of 29 October 2014.

Talvivaara  and the Administrator  for the Company  and its operating subsidiary
Talvivaara  Sotkamo Ltd's  corporate reorganisations,  Mr. Pekka  Jaatinen, will
host  a joint conference  call relating to  the Company's recent  events and the
progress  of corporate reorganisation on 6 October 2014 at 12:00 pm UK / 2.00 pm

Talvivaara Mining Company is an internationally significant base metals producer
with  its  primary  focus  on  nickel  and  zinc  using  a  technology  known as
bioheapleaching  to extract metals out  of ore. Bioheapleaching makes extraction
of  metals  from  low  grade  ore  economically  viable. The Talvivaara deposits
comprise  one of the largest known sulphide  nickel resources in Europe. The ore
body  is  estimated  to  support  anticipated  production  for  several decades.
Talvivaara has secured a 10-year off-take agreement for 100 per cent of its main
output  of nickel and cobalt to Norilsk Nickel and entered into a long-term zinc
streaming  agreement  with  Nyrstar.  Talvivaara  is  listed on NASDAQ Helsinki.
