Keys to Creating a Culture of Preparedness: A Webinar From MIR3, Inc.

Webinar Examines the Importance of Understanding Corporate Culture in Helping to Ensure Business Continuity

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MIR3, Inc., the innovator of real-time Intelligent Notification (IN™) and response technology, today announced a webinar that will explore the importance of understanding and working with the existing culture of an organization to increase BC/DR preparedness. The webinar, Keys to Creating a Culture of Preparedness, shares the expertise of nationally known crisis experts Ann Pickren of MIR3, Jim Satterfield of Firestorm, and Joe Miner of Procter & Gamble.

The webinar takes place on Wednesday, October 15 at 11:00am PT (2:00pm ET). Registration is required, and there is no charge to join.

"The webinar will show business continuity professionals and others how to identify a company's unique personality in order to use that information to tailor a really effective preparedness plan," said Pickren. "You start by understanding what is important to your company and expand that to include preparedness."

A culture of preparedness is critical to maintaining business continuity, but developing one can be challenging. By taking into account the existing culture—the combination of beliefs, attitudes, values and other elements that give an organization its personality—it's possible to increase the level of preparedness throughout the organization. If or when the company suffers interruption, this preparedness will keep staff pulling together for the same goal, giving the organization the best possible chance to survive with the least amount of loss. In the webinar, three BC/DR experts will share their experience and understanding to help in building this sense of preparedness throughout the organization.
